Delete your Accountabl account

You can close your account at any time. Below are the two ways to do it, and a clear breakdown of what is removed and what we may be required to keep.

Delete from within the app

Fastest

The quickest route — your account is removed immediately.

1Open the Accountabl app and sign in.
2Go to Account settings → Sign out section → Delete account.
3Type DELETE to confirm.

Removed immediately. Once confirmed in-app, your account and the data listed below are deleted right away. This action cannot be undone.

Can't access the app?

Request deletion by email and we'll handle it for you.

Email us from the address registered to your account so we can verify the request.
Email requests are processed within 30 days.

What happens to your data

Profile data - email, phone, date of birth
Login credentials and device / session data
Personal app preferences and settings

What may be retained

Accountabl is provided through your employer, so some records sit under their control and may be kept after your account closes.

Expense and transaction history may be retained by your employer
Records needed for legal, tax and audit obligations
Retained for 7 years, in line with applicable UK / EU financial regulations
